Silicone rubber, deriving from a silicon compound, is a young polymer, that respects the environment in every phase of its usage.
It can be used in a wide spectrum of temperatures and gives an excellent performance at low (-50°C) and also very low (-90°C) temperatures and has an excellent resistance to hot (250°C) and very hot (+315°C) air temperatures.

If treated correctly it is suitable for use in pharmaceutical/medical and food sectors and cannot be changed by atmospheric agents. It has a high electric insulation value, but can also be antistatic and conductive.

It can be both transparent and is also available in a very wide range of colours.

Among the special extruded items produced by Silital Europe, very important is the wide range of extruded covered by Kevlar and other fibres, that can be plaited or spiralled.
Silicon rubber can resist to solvents, aerosols, lubricants and greases and is used to make key-boards, components for the medical field, medical prostheses, adhesives, flexible pipes (hydraulic and electrical), transport accessories (belts, rollers), adhesive tapes, heating resistances and household articles.
